How to calculate average thermal energy as a function of temperature

Here we will show you how to calculate average thermal energy as a function of temperature using MassKinetics program:

  1. Set the MassKinetics project to calculate average thermal energy on the basis of previous Tip.
  2. Set the Calculation Type to '1D Scan'.and Number of Steps to 10 (Calculation Tab):
  3. Press the Add button and a new dialog will appear:
  4. Set the Type to 'Reactant', Item to 'Reactant', Sub-type1 to 'Initial Internal Energy'., Parameter to 'Temperature', Scan Function to Linear, Start Value 300, and End Value to 500
  5. Add a new 2D Graph (Results tab) and set Graph Type to 'Custom', X Axis to "Avg. Internal Energy", Y Axis to 1D Scanning Parameter.
  6. Calculate the Average Thermal Energy Distribution: as a function of temperature
